随是泽中有雷：雷藏在泽里，动在下、悦在上，所以能「随」。占到随，讲的是「顺势跟随」。随分两种：跟对了人，是借力；跟错了人，是消耗。爻辞里反复出现「系小子，失丈夫」「系丈夫，失小子」——选择跟谁，就意味着放弃另一条路，不能两边都要。
