艮是两重山：山上有山，静止不动。占到艮，是「止」的卦——该停下来了。艮的精髓是「艮其背，不获其身」：止住自己的背面（看不到的地方），连自己都不觉得在止，才是真的止。艮不是硬忍，是自然而然地停。判断点是：现在停，是为了后面走，还是纯粹不想动。
